I think I can handle their single fifth-rate and sixth-rate with a bunch of trade ships and a sprinkling of brigs and sloops, though I may need to add a couple more ships to my fleet. They have a formidable navy, but I captured a second fifth-rate from Morocco. I'm also at about the point I think I need to be to follow tkwarrior's advice to declare war on Venice so I can take Greece and Venice.

I will fight my third land battle tonight against a nearly full Austrian stack that had the audacity to cross the river on its way to Bulgaria. It'll take several turns to get them producing, but it'll be worth it. I'm also about to flood the trade theaters with dhows from the European theater. The other advantage that deal gave me was that I was able to pump out a dhow every other turn from the port in Mesopotamia and send them to the East Indies and Straits of Madagascar trade theaters, which has resulted in a significant improvement in my income compared to what I normally have at this point of an Ottoman campaign. I'm now actually friendly with the Persians, and as a result, never went to war with Georgia, since I no longer share a border with them. I followed readercolin's strategy to trade Armenia to Persia for an alliance. I'm about 20 turns in and have only had two land battles, so far, which is pretty cool. With the new DLC, I started a new campaign as the Ottomans the other day. And the pirates of the Barbary States, although my ships are making a lot of money from their engagements, which I have used to acquire territories, so I don't really want to launch an invasion, and Morocco doesn't want to take on the Ottoman Empire. I am at war with Persia, the Iroquois, the Thirteen Colonies, and the Huron Confederacy. My other protectore, Afghanistan, is launching an invasion of Persia, with the support of my guerrilla soldiers. Ireland owns New England, Acadia, and Iroquois Territory. I also own the northern provinces in Canada, and Nova Scotia. The territories I own are Scotland, Corsica (which I bought from France), Sri Lanka (which I bought from the Dutch), and an assortment of islands and coastal territories around the eastern Meditteranean. The Barbary States is also a prize that I would gladly let the Italians capture. I want better diplomatic relations, so I can easily assemble a coalition against any of the major European powers, especially Austria, Poland, and Russia, the three most powerful eastern factions. That is my style of government the trend of southern European countries, especially those that have just declared independence, is to become republics. I will send small forces to the battlefields of the world to launch guerrilla wars and destroy the attempts of my enemies to secure their provinces, and possibly turn them to absolute monarchies, so they are easier to negotiate with. My main priorities are avoiding a full-scale conflict in Europe. I will then claim those territories, and secure them, for access to their trade goods.
I also want to launch an invasion of Panama, to stop the Spanish from reclaiming their territories in South America after they rebel. I need to establish a foothold in the Caribbean, or in Nova Scotia, where I can garrison an elite army of clansmen. They have a border with the Thirteen Colonies - no longer an ally of England, as they refused to intervene, but it still represents their provinces in America, which will join the Kingdom of England if they are successful in their campaigns against the Cherokee. The Irish, my protectores, have decided to settle in New England (I love it when things play out historically). They're allied to Sweden, and I'm hoping to avoid a northern war whilst I attempt to beat England to the New World. The first is the production of a small navy to launch an invasion of Iceland, which I will sell to Norway in return for trade rights and a military alliance. I'm playing as Scotland, and I have three main objectives at the moment, having secured my border against English incursions.
